What do you love most about teaching?
I love working with children and that is the number one reason I love to teach. I love their curiosity and love of learning. I love seeing their eyes light up when they realize they can do something for the first time or have attained a new goal. I also enjoy helping them discover their strengths, overcome their weaknesses, and celebrate their uniqueness. And there is nothing more precious than to watch a student grow in their faith and relationship with Christ.

The best part of following Jesus is…
Knowing that I am a beloved child of God- whose love will never fail me and whose truth will faithfully guide me. It is in this relationship with Christ that I have found my identity, purpose and foundation for life. In knowing Jesus, I also have the confident expectation that I will spend eternity with God.

What is a favorite memory you have of ILS?
I have not been here at Immanuel for long, but I will always remember the opportunity I’ve had these past two years to loop with my students from 3rd to 4th grade. We have shared a lot of memories that have bound us together like a family. We have journeyed through the ups and downs of doing school during a pandemic. We have learned a lot academically, but we have also grown in our walks with Jesus and in our relationships with each other. It has brought me such joy to get to know my students on a deeper level and celebrate their academic and personal growth with them. I count myself as blessed to have been their teacher these past two years!
