General K-8 School Information

K-8 school hours: 7:40am-2:10pm
Student drop-off: 7:15am-7:30am
Office hours: 7:15am-3:15pm

School starts promptly at 7:40am, and students should be in their seats at that time. Middle School and bus riders will enter at the main entrance (Door 1), and K-5 will enter by the gym (Door 12).

There are several ways to report an absence:

If your student will be absent due to illness or any other unforseen circumstance, please notify the school office before 7:30am. If you know in advance that your student will be absent (i.e. vacation), we encourage you to notify the office in advance by emailing your student’s teacher AND by notifying the school office. The office will contact the parent/guardian of a student who is absent via phone if the office is not notified in advance or prior to 7:30am to ensure student safety and well-being.

You are welcome to stop by and pick up your child’s lunch at the school office any time after 12:15pm. If you would prefer not to pick up the lunch, you can choose to donate it to the school instead. Please try to let the school office know what you would like to do with your student’s lunch when you report the absence. Otherwise, the school office will call during the day to confirm. If we do not hear back from you by the end of the school day, the lunch will be donated or discarded.

If your student is sick, he/she needs to be 24-hours symptom-free (vomiting, diarrhea, fever) without fever-reducing medication to return to school. If your child is sick for any reason and will be absent from school, please contact the office by 8:00 am. Let’s commit to maintaining good hygiene practices to keep our school community healthy and free from illness— washing hands regularly, covering sneezes and coughs, and staying home when we’re feeling unwell can make a big difference!

How to Access FACTS Family Portal:
From FACTSmgt.com, click Log In Here, then click Family Portal Login.
Type our school's District Code: ILSP-IL
Click Next.
Type the enrollment Username and Password you previously created.
Click Log In.
If you have forgotten your password, click the Forgot password? link. If you forget your username, please contact the school office.

FACTS gives you the opportunity to get more involved in your child's academic progress and future
success by using FACTS Family Portal, a private and secure portal that allows you to view academic
information specific to your children, while protecting their information from others. You may view
your child's grades, attendance, homework, conduct, as well as other useful school information.
The username and password you created for your student’s enrollment packet will also be the
username and password for Family Portal.
