Young 5s Program

4 Year Olds with Fall Birthdays

The Young 5s program is geared for children who are not quite ready for kindergarten and have summer birthdays and/or children turning 5 in the fall who would benefit from a more challenging curriculum. Monthly field trips are planned to enhance their learning experiences.

This dynamic Young 5s program offers a well-rounded early childhood education that nurtures every area of development. The class will enjoy Jesus' time,  group time,  science activities,  journal writing,  math, music and songs, stories, and more! Children engage in fun, hands-on learning experiences that build foundational skills in phonics and early literacy, introduce essential math concepts, and support rich language development. The curriculum also includes American Sign Language (ASL) to promote inclusive communication and broaden language awareness. Through imaginative dramatic play, children express creativity, practice social skills, and develop emotional intelligence. Jolly Phonics and Handwriting Without Tears are our model for how we approach reading readiness and writing. This program is designed to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning in a warm, supportive environment.

Our Program

Learning experiences are provided for young children in an environment founded on Christian love. Our early childhood staff provides a challenging environment for learning with the use of a variety of materials and activities. The children are stimulated to learn and they become confident of their own abilities. Our students grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally, socially and physically. The experiences of our program provide a basis for future growth.
