Can you taste it? The turkey, the stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole with marshmallows…so yummy! How blest we are by the abundance we have been given by Christ. Let’s share with those who would like to have some stuffing or cranberry sauce or even a turkey! Please bring in non-perishable food items before Thanksgiving. The Good Samaritan pantry needs to be filled—there is plenty of room for cans and boxes of food.
Here are some other suggestions: Peanut butter, jelly, chunky soup, flour, sugar, baked beans, black beans, rice, instant mashed potatoes, salad dressings, pastas, crackers, applesauce, Jello, cereal, hot chocolate, spaghettisauce, canned fruit, pancake mix, canned chicken, tuna, paper towels, laundry detergent, toilet paper, dish detergent,single-serving coffee, Kool-Aid or Crystal Light.
If you are worshiping at Immanuel we’d love to have you stay for a few minutes after the Thanksgiving Day service and help us move the food in assembly line fashion to Good Samaritan’s food pantry in the south parking lot. It’s lots of fun and goes very quickly!
