Meet Dr. Joy Mullaney

Dr. Joy Mullaney
Principal
Dr. Mullaney’s passion for high quality education is evidenced by her many years of experience! She has served as a teacher and administrator in both public and Lutheran schools and has had involvement in various grade levels including PK-12. Most recently, Dr. Mullaney served as an assistant professor at Concordia University Chicago; she was the faculty director of field experience for initial licensure pre-service teachers, both Lutheran and public. Responsibilities included, among others, the supervision of undergraduate and graduate student teachers in the field.
Our principal, Dr. Mullaney earned her Ph.D. at Concordia University Chicago in Educational Leadership; her research interest is Lutheran school sustainability and viability. She secured her MS in secondary education at Northern Illinois University and her BS in middle school education at Illinois State University. Dr. Mullaney holds current Illinois licensure with endorsements in: elementary, secondary, middle school, math, school administration, and superintendent.
