Students at Immanuel Lutheran in Palatine made Valentines as part of National Lutheran School Week 2016. The theme of the day was “Serve Together,” and that’s just what the students did school-wide as they crafted homemade cards for the upcoming holiday.
“It’s so important to give the students opportunities to serve others. Making Valentines for those who are serving our country, away at college, sick, or elderly is a small way to brighten someone’s day. Our students are also reminded that caring for others is an easy way to show God’s love and make the world a better place,” said Immanuel Principal Delaine Schiestel.
