It’s almost here, just around the corner – it’s (gasp) time to get ready to go back to school. School supplies have been displayed in the stores since the 5th of July, but I could deny that the end was near as long as it was still July. But now – now it’s August. It really is time to get ready for school. We held the first of our final registrations this week. Our final workday is Saturday, August 5th, from 8 am – noon to finish a variety of projects in anticipation of the First Day of School. Immanuel’s teachers will once again pledge their willingness to serve the Lord here this Sunday, August 6th, at 9:15. Our new PE teacher, Joel Moritz, will also be installed as a part of our faculty at that service. The teachers return on Monday to get their classrooms ready for school. Next Sunday morning (the 13th) will be the Bobcat Blitz, and Backpacks, Blessings, and BBQ at the Bandshell. And the first day of school is August 16th. I invite your family to join us for each of these events – the workday, worship, and the Backpack celebration. More info can be found at www.ilcpschool.org.
Pause and take time to savor the last few days of summer vacation with your family.
