Ruth Crimmins - Library Learning Center Director

About Mrs. Crimmins

Mrs. Crimmins has over 15 years experience as Immanuel’s Learning Center Director. She became a Lutheran educator because she grew up in the Lutheran School system and wanted to impact students the way her life was impacted. Her favorite thing about being the Learning Center Director is seeing students learn to read and get excited about books. As the Learning Center Director, she feels privileged to get to know every student in the school.

Mrs. Crimmins attended Concordia University, Chicago, where she earned her bachelors degree in Elementary Education; she continued her education at  Dominican University where she earned her masters degree in Library & Information Science. Mrs. Crimmins is licensed through the Illinois State Board of Education and holds  endorsements in Language Arts, Elementary Education, Social Science, and Media.

Geri Dismeier - Resource Teacher

About Mrs. Dismeier

Mrs. Dismeier has over 35 years experience in teaching. She recently retired as a public educator and took a position with Lutheran Special Education Ministries to continue working in the field and faith she is passionate about. Both of Geri’s daughters are Immanuel alums. Geri loves to read, vacation (especially at her lake house in Delavan, Wisconsin) and spend time with family (especially her 7-month old grandson).

Mrs. Dismeier attended Illinois State University where she earned her bachelors degree in Special Education; she continued her education at Northern Illinois University where she earned her masters degree in School Counseling. Mrs. Dismeier is licensed through the Illinois State Board of Education and holds eight  special education endorsements

Joel Moritz - Physical Education

About Mr Moritz

2017 is Mr. Moritz’ first year at Immanuel and he brings with him over 15 years experience in Lutheran education and athletics. Through his training and experience Mr. Moritz brings a fresh outlook to physical education (PE) as well as a commitment that Immanuel’s PE program will impart fitness, wellness, nutrition, lifestyles, rest, recovery, physiology, health, neurophysiology and disease prevention while engaging students with movement, activity and exercise in accordance with national and state standards. Mr. Moritz is excited and honored to be granted the trust and backing of the Immanuel community as he continues to respond to God’s call to continue in “feeding His lambs.”

Mr. Moritz attended Concordia University, Chicago, where he earned his bachelors degree in Elementary Education; he continued his education at Concordia University, Chicago where he earned his masters degree in Reading Education. Mr. Moritz is licensed through the Illinois State Board of Education and holds an endorsement in Elementary Education.

Mr. Przemyslaw Bosak - Band Director / Music EducationServices

About Mr. Bosak

Mr. Bosak has over 4 years experience as a music educator; and comes to Immanuel through Music Education Services (code IMAN). Mr. Bosak is an accomplished multi-instramentalist, vocalist, and composer. His professional experience includes multimedia, symphony, and festival clarinet and bass clarinet performances as well as sacred choral music performance with Resurrection Choir and St. Ferdinand Parish in Chicago. Mr. Bosak enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities; beginner—advanced; and on a variety of instruments.

Mr. Bosak attended Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) where he earned his bachelor of music degree with a major in clarinet performance along with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. Mr. Bosak continued his education at Baylor University (Waco, TX) where he earned a master of music degree in clarinet performance. Mr. Bosak is licensed through the Illinois State Board of Education as a paraprofessional educator and substitute teacher.
