Krista Mayyou Parker, daughter of Jan Mayyou, has been named as a 2017 William C. Ackmann Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee at Concordia University - Wisconsin. Krista was an ILS 2001 graduate, on the Bobcat team that won back-to-back State Championships in 2000 and 2001. She went on to play at St. Viator where she was named the 2005 St. Viator Female Athlete of the Year. She continued her teamwork and star quality shooting when she went on to play basketball at Concordia University, graduating as part of the class of 2009.

The announcement detailing her accomplishments states:

Krista Mayyou was one of the most dynamic players in program history, helping Concordia University Wisconsin win three conference regular season titles and two conference tournament championships. She guided the Falcons to the program’s only NCAA Tournament victory in the 2008-09 season. The program also won the Concordia Invitational Tournament in 2007.

Mayyou was instrumental in the Falcons 85-26 record during her four-year career, including a 63-7 record in conference play. She was a D3Hoops.com All-Region Third Team honoree, along with being named all-conference first team four times and Lake Michigan Conference Freshman of the Year.

She ranks third all-time in program history with 1,621 points, while being the program’s best 3-point field goal shooter (39.0 percent). Mayyou owns the NCAA-era record for field goals made (602), and free throws made (323), to go along with being second in points per game (15.3) and third in steals (187). The forward-guard started 98-of-106 games throughout her illustrious career.
